Studs too close together for structured wiring panel


Since you are setting the boxes side by side, why not cut the middle stud out and header off the top and bottom of the cavity? Then, if necessary, run a vertical pc. of material in the middle to make a snug fit. You can easily trim around with 1x material and paint it to match the existing trim.
