Stripping over CMU for Vinyl

I am planning to strip out the block on our walkout basement to cover it with vinyl. I was planning to use 1x2 treated strips, liquid nailed and T nailed and then use a double dipped roofing nail. The problem is, I can't find a 3/4" roofing nail that isn't electroplated. I don't like the idea of using non PT lumber but I'm not sure what my other options are.

id use them or you could go to a stainless or copper roofing nail, the newer pressure treated wood is less corrosive than earlier versions

Tom - When you say you would use 'them', which them are you referring to? I called all around yesterday and in NW Pennsylvania, I couldn't even find stainless nails. I hit HD and Lowes and no luck there either.

i would use the electro plated roofing nail, but thinking about it more, depending on how thick the lock and nailing flange your siding has 3/4'' are probably not long enough, you may need 1 or 11/4'' nails
