Storage Loft in Metal Shed

We bought a 30 x 54 metal shed 3 years ago and have finally gotten to the point where we can actually put our camper in there. We are thinking about putting in a storage loft so we can clear "stuff" from the floor. The company we bought it from recommended we use a self supporting floor. I've tried going on line to get an idea of how to go about this, but have been markedly unsuccessful so far. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

"self supporting" ez put legs under the platform, depending on width, depth just build a DECK high off the floor. 2 x 10 or 12 rim joists, same size joists, thru bolt and notch the 4x4 or 6 x 6 legs. If ya only use it occasionally maybe put a set of pulldown attic stairs into it so you dont have stairs taking up floor space

Many thanks for your suggestions - they sound great! I particularly like the drop down stairs aspect to save space. This might be doable after all. Again, my thanks.

Skymaster,
We retired to Iowa 4 years ago after spending 34 years living abroad teaching the kids of the US military. We're just getting into the traveling mode, but recently returned from spending about 3 months in Newfoundland - great trip. If you ever get a chance to go to the Gros Morne National Park and L'Anse aux Meadows Historical site, take it - absolutely fantastic!
