steps to building a home? am i correct?

i need to know about building a home and the steps involved? I know of a framer who could frame the house. So if we went that route would we just sub-contract everything else? if so what would they be? Foundation, electric, plumbing and sheetrock? any help would be appreicated!

Go here http://www.knovel.com/knovel2/default.jsp and search for a book on 'building design and construction' . It's just the ticket for the DIY homebuilder. You can register for free and maybe print out what you need.
