Staining new treated wood porch

I have just built a new treated wood porch. I have waited the recommended time of at least 6 months before applying any kind of finish. I want to apply a stain but don't know which is the best company. heard Cabot is the best any suggestions and or application advice? I live in Chicago

Yeah, Cabots is a premium stain, better than most.
however, there are spendier brands available now that offer 5-15 year weather-proof/fading warranties.

You'll find these at a busy Mom & Pop paint store.
The other brands that come to mind are Penofin and a Scandinavian name that escapes me.....Hmmm starts with an "S" swimmy, swammy...
