Something is destroying my TimberTech decking

I'm getting sick over this. 600 sq/ft deck I am building, Eastern NY. I spent hours cutting some boards, fitting a few complex features around the staircase of the deck -- and I come out this morning and find this.

Looks like an animal has chewed the edge of the board. I had a couple in this condition, so now around $200 of product ruined, not to mention the hours of work I am going to have to re-do.

I'm afraid to continue with the project now.

Has anyone ever come across this? TimberTech nor my distributor has ever heard of it happening.

Mice, squirrels, rats, ECT love to chew on things. Once it's built it's less likly there going to be chewing on it. They did not eat much of it so it must not taste all that good.
I've seen rats eat right through concrete to get into a barn.

I compared some close-up pictures of the marks with other pictures on the internet -- definitely looks like squirrel teeth marks, and right now we have thousands of them around the neighborhood.

I really, really, really hope that once this deck is built they will not chew it.

Will try some repellent in the meantime to see if I can get it under control.

BB, Pellet gun, 22, dogs and cats, live traps and the only "repellets" that really work.
