some questions about ground level deck

Hello everyone. Im in Central Jersey area, so we get cold winters, hot summers and everything in between. I was planning on doing a 13x20 ground level deck. I was wondering and searching on how to frame it out but the plans i have seen on the internet seem that it isnt so much ground level. its more like 18 inches up and that was too high for me. Im looking to go with timber tech, trex or veranda decking boards. Pressure treaded framing and cement footings. I have seen plans on the internet that had the footings, then 2 2x8's as beams (3 beams spread out evenly on the 13' wide side. Then I saw 2x6's every 16" boxed out as a frame for the decking boards to lay on. Now this set up would make my deck like i said pretty higher then I would like.

Now, Would it be reasonable to use either 2x6's or 2x8's boxed out with every plank 16 inch on center and use that frame directly on to the post?
My plans was to go with 6 posts. 3 and 3 on the 20' long side. A ledger board on the house. Do they sell a bracket that can hold a single 2x6 or 2x8 for the post?

Hopefully I explained myself correctly as I am a DIY type of guy, I don't know the contractor vocabulary lol. Thanks!
