Question

Solid-surface counter-tops

Has anyone tried installing diy solid-surface counter-tops? We are pretty advanced DIYers--any pitfalls, and/or advice would be appreciated. The other option we are considering is DIY granite---We would like quartz, but I haven't found any availability for that for DIYers. Thanx--Marti Jo

Solid-surface counter-tops

This is not a DIYer project, it has to be measured perfectly and cut to size with equipment you don't have or can use, unless you have thousands of $s laying around for this stuff.

The only way to get a stone look at a cheaper price is to install granite tile there, that you can do.

I would lean towards getting a professional. But it might be possible for you to rent time with the specialized machine you will need.
