Soffit Vents? New Siding Project

jimsflies Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 3	Soffit Vents? New Siding Project I am in the process of installing new vinyl siding. My existing soffit is wood with cut in vents every 6 feet or so. They are covered with metal vent covers that insect screens on the back side. The question I have is should the vent covers be taken off prior to placing vented soffit under them?

hand drive AHH, SPANS!!!   Join Date: Apr 2012 Location: Durham NC Posts: 1,194	Soffit Vents? New Siding Project I would recommend pulling entire old soffit down for for maximum ventilation in the new soffit when put back up.
