Soffit Length

I need to install soffit material under my 14' 9" porch. Does anyone make soffit material (D5 - White) in lengths greater than 12'? The house is in SW Louisiana.

If so I havn't seen it at a big box store. We redid our soffits recently and went with 8 foot lengths. We ripped down 4'x8' sheets since I needed more than the 12/14" inch width offered.

Is the porch greater than 12' both ways? If not you can put batting strips across the joists (opposite direction) and run soffit material the shorter way.

This is the way it's really made to be run.

I was hoping that I could find a manufacturer that made 15' soffit material so that I would not have an H Channel running down the middle of my porch.

12’ is as long as I’ve ever seen it and I’ve done a lot of Vinyl using many different brands.

Since you don’t want to lap the stuff, your only options are to use a double channel and split is down the middle one way or into three sections the other way. A lot of waste, unless your doing the eaves also and can utilize those pieces there.

Or maybe get creative with a different color for a perimeter border so the 12’ stuff will work down the middle.
