Small size aluminum siding

I have some siding damage from Sandy that needs a few pieces replaced ... The issue is my contractor ( small but good) is having trouble finding the siding ..... Was hoping , after unsuccessful searching, that someone might have a reference for me. The siding is 3inches from piece to piece and is grey (weathered 10 years). It is smaller than all the other siding I see on other homes.

Also, I figure that I will need to paint after this since it won't be a good color match .... Anyone have idea on best paint or epoxy to use for vinyl siding?

Thanks!!!!!

Remove a piece and look on the back side.
If your luck there may be some numbers or even the company name.
Also going to need more to go on.
What finish is it, could be smooth, look like rough cedar, wood grain.
What profile? Dutch lap, beaded, flat.
Also is it double 3 or quad 3? (two laps per panel, or 4 laps per panel.)

He should be talking to a real siding supply company not just some local box store.

Here's just one of the many companys that make it.
I would not paint it.

Post up a picture.

Aluminum siding is more and more scarce these days and your options will be limited as a result.

Chances are you won't find a match, bad news. Good news is your homeowners insurance may pay to have he whole house re sided.

Opps, missed the aluminum part.
Just trying to replace a few damaged pices is near imposable without removing it all starting at the top.

Joe, I can do it very well, just have to be patient. Experience helps also:yes:
