slab foundation

I have a small crack on the foundation in my house. Is in the garage and is already braking some of the mortar on the bricks. I moved in about 3yrs ago. I water my foundation pretty regularly but I think the previous owner did not park any cars in the garage he had like a small shop going on in the garage. There is also two trees near the foundation they are about 20ft high. Is it time to call the pros or is there something I can do before I spend thousands of $$ on it. help!

Ever see the comercials for foundation repairs? You are fixing to find out what they mean. Don't just ask one, ask 2 or 3 even better...then you will have a fair idea of what to expect. Powerlift is in your area....I would call them first. What is happening is poor compaction, and it is settling, and there isn't a thing you can do about it except quit watering the foundation.

slab foundation

hey Joasis,
Thanks for the info I will give those guys a call, (powerlift). No and I haven't seen any commercials on TV but I bet they are very informative. This house was built in 1984 so if is still standing that's a good thing. This is my first home, and is in a good neighborhood but I seen some houses here in an old Dallas section that I might be interested in buying but you never know I might just stay here until my daughters graduate from college.
