skid loader vs dump trailer

I have a friend who has a skid loader and a dump trailer and I promised i would ask this question for him.

When he dumps the skid loader into the dump trailer with those tin dust caps on bearing hubs,,,it bends them and knocks them off. Then gets dirt and crap straight in the bearings. How do you avoid this? and is there ANY dust cap protectors for such an application??

tell him not to hit 'em

thats easier said than done!! its impossible to NOT knick one!! no matter how hard you try. would a 3/4 inch plywood set on outside of wheels work?? maybe a 2 bye stiffener behind and something to keep it standing up when bumped??

Or do they make a heavier steel cap that doesnt bend in the wind??

unless this guy's a total numbskull, he ought to be able to figure that out by himself,,, no, there probably aren't any stronger bearing caps as no 1 ever expects operators to smack 'em

if he can't operate the machine w/o slapping 'em, build & attach some STEEL bumpers to the trlr,,, we had front end loader operators that were banging into our 10wheelers,,, sending 'em home seem'd to get their attn & resolve the carelessnes  having been an operator doing that work occasionally, its possible i don't understand what you're asking
