size of beam to hold second floor up , and open first floor up


taken the out side wall out in the kitchen to open it up in to the covered sun room. . This will make one large combo room /kitchen .. second floor , floor joist are 2by 10 . but the ceiling is only 7 foot 11 inches to the bottom of the second floor /floor joist

youll have to consult a local engineer in your area regarding this.. not knowing your region no one here can spec it properly
