Site preparation

I'm doing some clearing on a wooded lot, and will take out a lot of brush and small trees (up to 2" - 3" diameter). I cut them as short as I can, but what's the best was to deal with all the little stumps that are left? A lot of them are pines.

I don't know about your area, but here you can rent a small stump grinder for about $100.00 per day, which can be moved around in tight areas with a garden tractor.

They do a very good job, Vermeer makes a good one that makes shot order of a stump.

Rent a bulldozer

Go with some TNT, maybe not. Stump grinder or bull dozer are good ideas. Just don't hook a chain up to your bumper.
