Question

simple way to soundproof two house units

i am looking for a simple way to soundproof two units of my house, the main unit and the basement apartment. the floor that separates the two is about 800 sq ft, i am about to lift the whole thing and replace the subfloor and was thinking i might as well try to soundproof it if feasible and if it doesn't add a gazillion new tiers.

so i am looking for ideas. i found this online but seems complicated:

ideally, if it can be like a thin cover of latex or something that goes over the beams or over subfloor, that would be ideal.

thanks

I saw this product on a HGTV show some time ago and bookmarked it.
I have no connection to this product and don't have any personal experience with it, just thought it might be a consideration.
