silly siding question

I'm thinking and planning about residing my house, but we have the electrical lines running along the siding from the second story down to the ground level to the meter. How do I take the lines off temporarily to put the siding on??? Do I just pry off the brackets that are holding the elec. lines? Is that dangerous? Do I need a pro? Can I get the elec. co. turn off the power for a day or so??? Just looking for some advice. Thanks...

The electric company will disconnect the power at the mast and reattach it when your done.

Anywhere I’ve ever worked that service was free.
