Hi All! I have a mostly brick house. There is still some old cedar siding on the front (see picture below) and around the sunroom in the back. We're rebuilding the porch this summer and plan on using lattice around the bottom of the porch and my husband feels confident we can replace the siding around the sunroom ourselves, but I don't like messing with the heights.
The front of the house is what presents a problem, it's difficult to see in the picture (which is very old by the way, we've made massive improvements since this picture, which is from when the house was on the market 2 owners ago), but I'm thinking about bringing in someone to do stucco with some nice wood accents in it for the front, rather than hiring someone to do siding there. Is there a cost difference? Maintenance difference?
ETA: Haha, I didn't even notice in this picture that everything was so overgrown you can't even see that the bottom of the porch, within the brick columns, is done in the same cedar siding.
