siding/Flashing

I am wondering what the correct way to intertwine all the layers of material when installing vinyl siding at a point where a one story roof intersects into a wall of a two story. This would be the point where an end cap of a gutter hits the wall or where the roof tins stop. I have looked at several and they donít look lapped correctly but I might be missing something.

Take a look at this thread and then also take a look at the links in post #4.

the last piece of flashing at the bottom of the roof line will need to lap over top of the siding that the flashing runs into so that roof watershed is to the outside of the wall and not into the wall cavities.

I have seen that kick out flashing for sale but you never see it installed on a house. I have a way I deal with this but was interested what every one else is doing. As I look around I rarely see the J Chanel lapped out and never see the last tin lapped out. I just put one of these together last week. Next time I will take a few pictures and post them to see how it compares to what every one else is doing.
