Thanx Dave. I asked the installer and finally got an answer. They are charging just under what they are charging to do the siding. So now it is all making sense why it is so expensive to have canexcel installed. And to answer your question Tom. When installing Canexcel siding or I think even the Hardie board, you can either get metal Jtrim for around windows, doors and corners or you can trim them all out with a product called smart board and all it is, is 1" osb in various widths (3 1/2, 4 1/2, 5 1/2, 7 1/4, and 9 1/4.) with a spray on wood texture that is primed. If you go to the LP website you can check it out. Sorry I don't know how to attach anything on this site for quick viewing. How does that sound Dave. Anything to add feel free.
