Siding Corners

I am building a 10' X 12' shed on which I plan to use 3/8" particle board (SmartLap) primed lapboard siding.

What options do I have for the corner treatment?

I am not afraid to mix composition types.

Thanks

I'd use LP smart trim in 5/4 thickness.

re: Siding Corners

Thanks for the recomendation.

I plan to blind nail leaving a 'reveal of 4" '.
You seem to have had experience with this (or similar) products,
what type nail do you suggest?

Thanks again

I'm assuming you're talking about the siding, not the trim.

Check LP's website for the siding's installation instructions to be sure, but I'm thinking galvanized 8's would probably do the trick. Something with a ring shank would be even better if you can find galvanized ones. Just be sure they penetrate the studs and not just the exterior sheathing of the structure.

you can nail 1x3 in each corner and then nail 1x4 over top and then slide the lap up against it and the 1x4 will cover the seams...Good luck:thumbsup:

Same thing I'm talking about...But described better! I'd also suggest installing strips of 15# felt vertically at the corners behind the trim and the joint between the lap and the trim boards.
