Shed Rafters

So I had that huge thread no one responded to, so its deleted and I've specialized the topics to different forums

On this shed - 20 x 12, internally divided into two sections, with two sets of doors. Snow load in the area is 30 lbs.

For aesthetic reasons I'd like to not have the pitch face the house, so it will be running the 20 ft length. Since this is only for aesthetics, is it worth the extra work/cost? And I'm thinking this would be 2x8's @ 24" with 1/2" plywood. Or should I just run the ridge beam the 20 ft length and make it easier?
