Well the shed is coming along with walls being raised over the weekend. I'm am now considering a 4/12 pitch roof and again wondering what the height of the ridge beam should be. For some reason I cannot wrap my head around the math to find that measurement.
The outside walls measure 10' 1&1/4" with the sheating going up flush to the double top plate (which measures 4 1/8") with the sheating. Do I need to worry about the exact height of the ridge beam or place a few rafters up and let the tell me where to put it?
Also, with the overhang on the sides (12") do I put sheating up flush to the gable rafters then tack in the fly boards to the sheating and gable rafter?
Thanks for your help.
