sheathing nails

farrington135 Member   Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 68	sheathing nails I've always used 6d 2" galvanized nails for house sheathing. Some guys I know think the 6d are overkill for 1/2" and 5/8" ply and use 4d 1 1/2". Aren't they a little too small??

WorkshopforWomen judybrowne   Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 4	sheathing nails I'm just a volunteer with Habitat here in Denver so that's my entire building experience but here's what they use on their houses. 7/16" OSB for the sheathing the walls and 8d common nails. Judy
