second story addition

I own Cape in Rockland County NY and i was curious on what the cost on adding a approx 600 sq. ft. addition to it converting it into a Colonial. Any ideas ? I was thinking of getting a contractor or a framer to just rip the roof off and framing the whole thing and get a roof put in as long as it is water tight i can basically do the rest later on. But i needed to get an idea of the cost? or does it go by sq. footage?

You would need to get local estimates on cost & time frames
These costs vary widely by area & project & time frame depends upon the crew they have

This site is geared towards DIY, not cost estimates
