Search for Lineals

I am looking for a company that manufactures black 3 1/2 inch lineals. I also want black skirting. Anyone know of such a company? I have seen this on some houses but I have been unable to locate online.

Do you mean lintel? It's what's used to support block or brick over a wall opening.
Lowes, Home Depot, and concrete supply house, steel supply will have them.
No clue what you mean by black skirting. When you say skirting all I can think of is what's used around the bottom of a mobil home.

Lineal is a name I have seen used for moulding around windows and doors. It is used on the Certain Teed Vinyl siding website.

Go back on there web site and look for where it says "where to buy"
Any siding distributor that carry that brand can get it for you. Just look in the yellow pages under siding.
Still have no idea about the black skirting.

Sorry what I mean by this is the part that is the exposed basement portion of the house. We currently have a stucco coating on cement blocks. And the upper portion of the house is stucco. I am changing the upper portion to vinyl and want wide window trim (lineal) and beaded board or batten (skirting) below the vertical vinyl siding. The stucco overcoat on the cement block is starting to come off.

A lineal is 3 ˝” or even 5 ˝” channeled window or corner trim that has it’s own starter strip. It only comes in 20’ lengths that I’ve ever seen.

I doubt you’ll find it in black, there’s been to many problems with dark vinyl colors.

You may be able to find black coil or gutter stock and create your own if you must have black trim.

We just drove through a new area of the city and there are lots of houses with the black trim. Had the hubby with me and he thinks it may be tin, so I will check for that now.

Painted with what, I live in an area that gets extreme temperatures from 40 Fahrenheit to -50 Fahrenheit. Any suggestions on paint, I was hoping to go maintenance free. I may have to just be happy with white.
