Sealing vapor barrier.

I'm insulating my house using Owens Corning pink insulation with Kraft paper. Is there a tape that I can use to seal the gaps between the insulation batts. I'd like to have as complete a vapor barrier as possible.

Where is the insualion be installed? (walls, attic, basement...)

The insulation is in the stud bays of walls and ceiling.

you could try the tape used to connect wrappings of insulation for hvac ducts, its expensive tape though.

"tuck" tape... that's the brand name and it's designed to tape different materials together and will maintain a vapour barrier... although I'm curious, is Kraft paper still used (to code) as a vapour barrier?

I used "tuck" tape. It is red in colour, but I did not use the kraft paper faced insulation.

Mine was the pink batts in between the studs and then a plastic vapor barrier over the insulation, 6 mil., and then I used the tuck tape to seal all the joints.

Is kraft paper lined insulation not widely used anymore?

Kraft-faced insulation is still widely used by insulation manufacturers as a vapor retarder for insulation. It is considered by ICC and all other inspectional codes as a rated vapor barrier.
