Remodeling a basement and have noticed some water coming in from the still plate. I have begun to fix this with spray foam and will seal with silicone as well as make sure the outside is correctly sealed.
There is one other place that I have noticed water damage on the rim joists. along with making sure all outside joints are sealed I want to seal from the inside. Using silicone is had due to the space constrains.
Was thinking on using the roofing cement/tar that I could use a brush to reach in the corners.
Is this something that work or should I seal with silicone and insulation?
