pyper Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 949	sealing ceiling boxes I'm buying a house that was built in 1970 or so. I want to seal the light fixtures to prevent hot air from escaping to the attic. What is the best method? It's a ranch style house with a hip roof. There is some insulation in the attic, but not enough to matter. I haven't closed yet, so I haven't seen the boxes, but I'm expecting them to be steel. On that topic, are those foam gaskets the best method for electrical outlets and switches?
