Screen room framing help

Ill add a couple things that might help you out
1. The top needed to be flat and level, not turned up on the angle of the rafter.
2. Should use 4x4's for the uprights, a single 2x4 PT will want to warp and twist.
3. Your blocking between rafters looks great, maybe get some thick vinyl or rubber mat cut to the roof to finish it off, foam wont look so good.
4. Your side wall layout isnt so hot, cant you start in the corner with a 4x4 and work from that?

Well if you don't care to elaborate, With all do respect, don't reply. If you have something to say, say it.. We are all grown men here. Don't be sarcastic and say certain number posts speak volumes. I am not going to count posts and reply to each one.

Screen room framing help

maybe consider taking out the vertical 2x4 against the house wall and putting a 2x4 against the wall of the house that matches the 2x4 rafters for the porch and then put the vertical 2x back in cut up tight to the new rafter and then fill in at the top like all of the rest of the porch and then screen over to the house... looks like there will still be a weird air space between the house overhang and the porch roof where bugs could get in and water?? not sure how bad it is from looking at the last couple pics but something could be worked out there...

that is a tricky one. I suppose you have been glancing up at that spot the entire job wondering what is going to happen there?

just looking through this thread again, looks like a rafter added against the house that emulates the last porch rafter and then blocking added that matches the porch and the porch fascia extended over to the house. after it is framed slide a piece of the clear roofing up until it hits the house overhang at the top and screw wherever you can get screws into it, maybe consider some glue applied from underneath as well( lift roofing, dab glue, set roofing back down into the glue...) with that roofing up there it will be a matter of just continuing the screen over to the house and being done with it. I've had many a roof lines run into soffits and overhangs, happens all the time.
