Safety Arms for Bilco-style basement exterior doors?

Selling my house. Buyer's home inspector states that "the safety arms on the outside of the walk-out basement door are missing."

I've done a billion web searches and can't find any reference to any safety arms for this type of door. I've looked through a few websites that show step-by-step, with pictures, of how to install these doors and none of them show or mention any safety arms.

Do these exist, or is this home inspector a buffoon? If they do, where would I get them? What do they look like? I have no clue, obviously : (

The manufacturer of your doors would supply the part. They are specific to the unit you have.
