ROXUL hung on existing ceiling --How?

Read about soundproofing and I was thinking of adding a layer of the ROXUL safe and sound to and existing plaster ceiling that has a drop ceiling underneath it. The drop is about 1 1/2 feet. Both are old, from prior owner, but functional ... need everyone's thoughts and ideas on how best to get the ROXUL up there.

ROXUL hung on existing ceiling --How?

Just move the tiles out of the way and proceed.

What is above the actual ceiling (not the suspended ceiling)? Can you access the attic? If so, it would probably be easier to add insulation in the attic rather than attempting to squeeze the insulation around whatever is living above the suspended ceiling.

Why roxul? It's a nice product, but isn't it rather expensive?
