roof construction

i built a deck and now i would like add a roof.but, im trying to get ideas on how to as i live in a 5th wheel trailer that has had a metal shelter over it like the ones you could inclose of you choose to and turn it into a building so the roof has to be close enough so that the water goes from one roof to the other but still not attached to the frame of the metal roof.
