Ripping LVL

I've got some extra 9 1/4" LVL that I bought for a project that changed scope. I want to use it as a short floor joist header that is 7 1/4" . Can I rip the 9 1/4" down and get the same structural integrity as a pre-made 7 1/4 LVL?
