reveal on 8.25 hardi

Yes, Hardi has 5,6,7,& 11” exposure for sure. I don’t like the 7” the laps don’t lay tight enough for me. 6” is better, 5” is tight. Most places only stock 7” and the others are special order but who cares. If you get to the end and are just a few pieces short you can get some 7” and rip it down to finish the job.

Kwik, would I rip it, or just make the lap bigger (thus reducing the reveal)? Any negative to that approach?

If you were using 5-6” special order hardi and needed a few extra at the end of the job and did not want to wait you could rip a 7” down to what you need.

Since Hardi is not a beveled product if you were to just slide the panel down farther to get your smaller reveal it would create a gap at the bottom of the lap.

Actually the top & bottom of the 6.25" hardi planks I bought are beveled
Older stock was not beveled

I ended up buying a full pallet
Total price was much lower then per piece price for what I needed
I'll have some extra
