Replacing Fascia Board

The fascia board on my mother's 45 year old house need to be replaced due to water damage. These are 2 x 8's with six of them being about 18 feet long and the other two being about 14 feet long. These boards are not nailed into the rafters (there are no rafters extending out to the fascia). The ends of the roofing substrate (1 x 6 tongue and groove) are nailed into the fascia board and this is pretty much all that is holding the fascia board in place (they are nailed into a header at the top of the incline).

My question is: would it be best to call a roofer to replace these, or should I go with someone that does general construction. I bought the wood, primed it, and then started to remove the old boards. After about 30 minutes working on the easiest of the eight boards, I realized that this was going to be beyond the limits of what my back can withstand. I basically just need someone to remove the old boards and then put the new ones up. I'm assuming that a roofer would be best because the roofing substrate will need to be re-nailed into the fascia.

Replacing Fascia Board

You do not need a roofer, rather either a siding guy or carpenter.

Replacing Fascia Board

Common for roofers to replace fascias, but you will get better workmanship from a carpenter.
