Replacement Sliding Door Sizes

I am replacing a 30yr old aluminum sliding door in our bedroom and am having trouble deciding on a new one. The Rough Opening is 72" wide 82" tall, which seems to be the standard for Pella, Jeld-Wen and several other manufacturers. Except Andersen which has standard sizes of 80" and 83" tall R.O.

Now, I would prefer going with the Andersen 400 series door but am concerned with the R.O. mismatch. Say I were to go with the 80" door, would standard practice be to fill the void with a 2x4 and trim over it?

Thanks!!

Anthony,
That's what you do. Anderson makes the shorter series available to make them easy for replacement. It's always easier to go smaller than bigger. I have used primarily Anderson windows and doors for the last twenty years and been very happy with their quality and performance. Their frenchwood glider is one of the nicest sliders out there.
