Replace 6'-8" doors with 8'-0" doors

I just ordered solid 8'-0" doors to replace the existing 6'-8" doors in the house. The door width will not change, just the height. Does anyone have any tips or how-to guides on doing such a thing? I'd like to do this as efficiently as possible with the least amount of drywall damage as I have a lot of doors.

How high are your ceilings?
Are these going into load bearing walls?

How much of an issue the sheetrock will be depends on how they framed the section over the doors.
And sheetrock really isn't an issue. Fill it in and paint the wall.
You can't expect to do the changes you state, without some repairs.

How much exactly do you have to cut up above the rough opening of the 6,8 door to make the 8 footers fit like a glove?
Can i just take it down to the rough opening (RO) and just take a skilsaw and cut up 1ft4 or a little over to allow for clearing since the trim will cover?

If you read the posts above, you know what you do, depends if the wall is a loadbearing wall. These need headers to hold up the wall. The width of the door will determine the size of the header.

Every one of them whether in a load bearing wall or not will still need a header. Also you are better off to remove the sheetrock carefully first at least from one side to sure there are no electrical circuits running through the area before you cut! This isn't anywhere as near as simple as you are making get out to be.

#1 Why in the world do you think you need that tall a door?
Just blows me away that you would go spend all that money and not even know what's involved in changing them.
And no you can not just remove and just enough sheetrock to fit the door in the rough opening. To make a rough opening there's going to need to be at least 2, 2 X 4 and a piece of 1/2 plywood or OSB in a non load bearing wall, wider if it's load bearing wall for a header over the framing and extentions added to the top of the jacks. So it would be easer to just remove the sheetrock all the way to the ceiling so the 2 X 4's above the door can be cut shorter then one larger single piece could go in and not have to deal with trying to tape 3, nontapered seams.
