repairing holes in osb roof
 

building a house and people putting on decking busted holes in the roof to put their air hose through it (unbelievable) contractor did not catch until felt and shingles applied. he put construction adhesive from underneath and nailed a 2x6 between ceiling joist to cover hole and try to keep adhesive in. should I let him get away with this? house under construction. Approximately 5 holes.

It does not sound like structural issue or even safety, since average foot will span the damage.
This is, in my opinion, a question of your tolerance and what you think of your contractor. I would put the repair in creative repair with repair emphasized. However, it is something that you can insist on proper repair.

For us we would cut a patch the size and thickness of the hole, put some 2x4 on the flat under it and put the patch in the hole, sounds similar to what he did.

Mind you we would never have made the holes for an air hose.

im with mae ling.. if the contractor was too lazy to reroute the hose.. if they were on my site. .it would be the last
