Removing Large Mirrors from Drywall
I have 3 large mirrors 4 x 8 taking up the entire wall in my home. I just want to remove them and repair the drywall if needed and texture and paint.

Looking for anyone with experience with this that will offer suggestions please.

Do they have frames?

We just pulled 2 out of a bathroom renovation. They were about 4 x 8 as well. Just carefully pulled them away starting in a top corner. Went slow and they remained intact, no problem. They had that black mirror mastic holding them to the wall. We wore safety glasses and gloves, just in case.

There's not going to be much left to the drywall once you remove them once you end up ripping the old glue off the walls.

Post a picture for some better ideas.

If I had to do it I'd cover the whole thing with two layers of carpet protector, it's a self sticking plastic film. Lay OSB on the floor to protect it and make it easyer to clean up after.
Wear gloves with gontlets. (long sleeves to protect your forearms)
Then try tapping in a 6" putty knife that has a metal shank all the way though the handle with a wooden handle so it can be taped on with a hammer.
Tap around all the edges you can get to so you can try and break the glue bond as best you can.
Then just try prying it off. There's about a 0% chance of it coming off in one piece if it was installed right.
There in no magic wand for this one, and no there is not stuff you can just spray on it and have it pop off.
