Removing all of the sheathing on one side of a structure

I need to replace all of the siding/sheathing on one side of a building. It probably spans 20 feet. This is on the eve end of a gable structure. Will removing all of the sheathing/siding at one time cause any structural or safety issues? I just want to be safe.

What kind of structure?
One story, 2 story?

Down the street they took all the sheathing of the side of a barn
They nailed cross pieces inside to stabilize
The barn did have a "2nd floor" & a huge door
A house will have more weight then what this barn had

Yes, it will adversely affect it, with only the wallboard holding everything in check. If no wallboard, as Dave said, add diagonal bracing anywhere along wall. If not adding sheathing again, you need diagonal braces- either wood or metal permanently installed.

http://www.strongtie.com/products/ca...llbracing.html Just a saw cut on the diagonal, and nail it off. Or 1x4- let-in to the studs, a lot harder. Or 2x4 wood blocks in between studs. Be safe, G

It is a single story structure. How much can I remove at one time? The inspector wants to see the framing before the new siding goes up.

Was it condemned? Lots of rot?
Why does the Inspector want to see the framing?
As long as it is properly braced you should be able to remove it all
But it has to be securley braced & the time between removing & resheathing needs to be kept to a Min

He says he wants to see the stud spacing and to make sure I'm not covering up any rotted wood. It has drywall on the interior.
