Remove soffits above cabinets and one of the boards is cut...need fix

There were these ugly soffits all of the kitchen. I removed them and adding crown, painted and the cabinets are looking much better except for this one spot where they cut the fake beam to fit the soffit in. I doubt I'll be able to match the stain plus it's at the odd angle but what other option do I have? Any ideas? Thanks

Repair the broken piece and then get three or four small cans of stain and play around with mixing a bit of each until you get what you need.
