remove load bearing wall

I have a load bearing wall about 20 ft that I want to take down and make my living room larger. What are the cost for this and should I attempt this myself?

The first cost is getting an engineer to size the beam you you---The other big cost is that of moving heat ducts and plumbing---

We need a picture ---what is the wall holding up? a ceiling or the second floor?

What's inside the wall?

Costs vary a lot---Need more facts--Location mean a lot --Manhattan,Kansas is cheaper than Manhattan,New York ---Mike---
