Removal of old concrete attached to good slab

I'm planning to pour a new slab next to the exisiting slab in my backyard. The previous homeowner built a low deck adjacent to the slab, which I've removed. He anchored the deck with a few concrete pours, 3 of which we poured right up against the good slab that I would like to keep. So how do I remove these without harming the slab that I want to keep or could I just remove enough of these so that I could pour the new slab on top, since one of them, pictured below, is holding up my awning.
