reg. or Architectural shingles?

Whats a better shingle; Certainteed Architectural shingles, or regular certainteed? My roofer says it would be only about &350.00 difference and he said the Architectural shingles have better wind resistance and hail resistance? Is this a true statment??? Of course I like the looks of the architectural shingles but also kinda want to stick to the tried and true?

Certainteed Architectural by far and if thats the only difference ( doesnt sound right) then go with that. There are different grades of Certainteed Architectural. Ask him whats the life span of the shingles hes offering. If it the fourty year and thats the only difference, where do you sign.

He didn't state the life span for the Architectural ...however the "regular" shingles were going to be 25 yrs. Ill make sure to ask the life span on the Architectural shingles.

reg. or Architectural shingles?

Basic 3 tab shingles are 25 yrs max, architectural start at 30 yrs, and do offer better protection for harsh conditions. And there is no difference in installation costs, just the difference in shingle costs.
