How is the trusses connected to the rake beam this is a DIY project.

I've heard of extended rakes, boat rakes, flush rakes, but never a rake beam ....

Sounds like a ridge beam.
Which is not used when you use trusses.

Rake Beam construction


I am guessing he means a diagonal truss meeting a horizontal beam? Aren't they normally mitre cut and connected with metal cleats?
