Hang out here and learn a bit about house flaws and the ease or expanse of certain things.

You never mentioned your skills or desire to learn.

Are you planning to fix up a property or will you need to hire out all the work???
I have done all types of home construction, building decks, framing houses, barns etc.
I remodeled the complete interior of my current home including knocking out walls, installing doors where windows were, removing doors and building walls where doors were, turning a two car garage into a family room, converting an attic into bedrooms- so I have all the skills and tools to do basically everything myself yet I may be inclined to hiring a crew to do certain things as I don't have time for major repairs as I run a small business as a one man operation.
