You need more nails on your trim. 1 nail on the ends is no good.
I have to assume your wrapping the trim in aluminum otherwise you wouldn’t have 3 pieced the sides of the door trim.
Yes, I am wrapping the trim with aluminum. I didn't think it would be a problem to peice it since it will be covered anyway. I will definitely take your advice and put in a little more nails where needed. Thanks!!
you should remove the siding you need to then fill it in the right way
its details like that that really improve the looks of the job and its not that much work,
plus having one long seam encourages water to get behind the panel
I didn't think about the seam part letting water in. Now, when I stagger the pieces like it should be, should I simply go back about 3 or 4 feet on every other peice of siding and have it staggered there? I just don't want to end up taking half my siding off the house just for the staggered joint, but I definitely understand about making it look better as well as the one seam letting water in.
