Question on front steps?

I have old looking steps but not cracked and wanted to upgrade the look. We did the roof and siding now we wanted a little more curb appeal. Can we build on top of brick steps? Do I have to take out the steps or can I build on top?

Your best bet is to remove the bricks. Each brick is almost it's own entity, so when one goes bad, it can adversely affect what you put on top of it.
