question about windows, siding

I have an older house that I put new construction windows in because the old ones were in really bad shape. The house has the original wood siding and then a previous owner put vinyl siding over that. All the windows are in and I am now going to put the vinyl back on.

Can you just run the vinyl up to the wndows without any trim? I was going to put trim but now I am not sure in down the road I am going to do a full re-side with cement board and that may change window trim design.

What do you think?

Yes, I j channeled the windows.

What do you guys do around decks and bulkheads? Do you run a starter strip or can you use a j channel there too?

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
